I thought to serve my country in his place, but it turned out it was all just a lie. He was never dead in the first place, the KGB just wanted him for their own purposes. They tried to send him against me, but he sacrificed himself instead.
Only now I found he has come back, and is trying to get me killed or put in prison. And I think, how much of my time with him was real? How much is just the pretty lies my government told me? Am I even capable of loving someone so much as I thought I did my husband?
